I was fortunate to have the opportunity to participate in the 9th International IVO Training Program. Many thanks to Prof. Shiina and his entire team at Juntendo University for their hospitality throughout the program. During the five days of training, Prof. Shiina was very enthusiastic and patient in teaching us. I learned a lot about pre-treatment planning, fusion images, patient positioning, optimal puncture, and how to ablate tumors in difficult and high-risk locations. One of the most impressive cases had seven small HCCs, and about half of the tumor locations were difficult to ablate. Professor Shiina insisted on the complete ablation of each tumor. His dedication is admirable.
I highly recommend this training program to those who already have experience in RFA or MWA procedures or those who want to improve their knowledge and techniques. You will gain unexpected benefits.
