Testimonial: トリリンガル秘書 クロエ・ミシェル
2018年5月から本年3月末まで当医局で秘書として働いたクロエ・ミシェルさんからTestimonialが3か国語で届きましたので、そのまま掲載します。
クロエさんは母国語のフランス語に加え英語に堪能で、日本語もほとんど不自由なく使えるトリリンガルです。
Testimonial 2018-2021
３年間お世話になりました。
２０１８年の５月から椎名先生の下にトリリンガル秘書として順天堂大学病院の消化器画像診断・治療学の医局で働き始めました。今年の５月にはフランスに帰ることになりましたので、お礼のメッセージを書かせていただきたいと思っております。
この３年間は仕事の場面でも個人な場面でも大変成長できたと思います。最初は日本の職場や秘書の業務に慣れなくて大変でしたが、皆さんのおかげで少しずつ自信を持ってきて、新しい環境に慣れてきました。
何度も助けてくれた同僚に感謝しています。他の秘書もちろんそうですが、医局の医者と技師、病院の看護師やスタッフにも大変助かりました。
私は少しでも画像の皆さんのお役に立てれば嬉しいです。
まだできてないところはたくさんあると思いますが、ここで習ったことや経験したことは将来に活かせる豊かな知識になると思います。
最後に、椎名先生には、このような貴重な機会をいただきましたこと、心より感謝申し上げます。先生の指導のもとで当医局に務めさせていだいて光栄でした。 ありがとうございます。
今はフランスに帰りますが、日本には必ずいつか戻ります。

Thank you for these three years together.
I have been working as a trilingual secretary at the Division of Diagnostic Imaging and Interventional Oncology in the department of Gastroenterology of Juntendo University Hospital since May 2018.
I learned a lot during these three years, professionnally and personnally as well.
At first it was difficult to adjust to the Japanese working environment and to the workload of a secretary. I was not prepared and it was harder than I had thought, but with help of my colleagues I learned my way around and grew more confident with time.
My Japanese also improved tremendously as I had to speak and write it everyday in a professional setting. I can now have conversations about cancer treatments in 3 different languages, which I’m sure will make a great impression in the social gatherings I will attend when Covid-19 ends.
I would like to thank my colleages for saving my life so many times. I am thinking of the other secretaries, but also of the doctors and technicians of the department, and of the nurses and staff of the hospital who helped me every step of the way.
And finally, I want to thank Professor Shiina for giving me this opportunity. Without him I would not have been able to learn and grow so much. It has been an honor to work in this departement under his supervision.
I know that I still have a lot to learn, but I believe that what I experienced in the diagnostic imaging department will be a precious ressource for the future. I hope I will find an employment in relation to Japan, so that I can keep a connection to this country and culture I appreciate so much. And hopefully I will be able to come back.

Merci pour ces trois années ensemble.
J’ai commencé à travailler au département de Gastro-enterologie de l’hôpital universitaire Juntendo en mai 2018 en tant que secrétaire trilingue sous la direction du Professeur Shiina.
Ce furent trois années très riches en expérience qui m’ont permis de murir, aussi bien professionnellement que personnellement, et même linguistiquement puisque mon Japonais s’est considérablement amélioré pendant cette période. Je peux désormais discuter des différents traitements contre le cancer en trois langues, ce qui ne manquera pas de faire son petit effet dans les soirées post Covid-19.
Les débuts ont été un peu difficiles car j’ai dû m’habituer au milieu du travail japonais, ainsi qu’au travail de secrétaire qui recèle des challenges que je n’imaginais pas. Mais grâce à l’aide de mes collègues qui m’ont constamment aidé et soutenu lorsque je rencontrais des difficultés, j’ai appris et pris confiance en moi petit à petit.
J’espère avoir pu avec mon travail rendre tout le soutien que j’ai reçu des différents membres du départements : mes collègues secrétaires mais aussi les médecins et les techniciens du département, et les infirmières et le personnel administratif de l’hôpital dont l’aide m’a été très précieuse.
Enfin, un grand merci au Professeur Shiina pour m’avoir donné l’opportunité de travailler sous sa direction pendant 3 ans. Ce fut une joie et un honneur pour moi de contribuer à ma mesure au développement du département.
Il me reste encore beaucoup à apprendre mais j’ai désormais avec moi la richesse des enseignements de ces trois années, et je compte bien les faire fructifier après mon retour en France. J’ai en effet pour projet de trouver un emploi en lien avec le Japon et la culture japonaise, qui je l’espère me permettra de visiter régulièrement le pays.
Le Japon sera toujours mon pays de cœur. Je ne doute pas d’y retourner un jour, et je serai heureuse de revoir tout le monde à ce moment là.
