第11回IVOトレーニングプログラムが始まりました
国内版の第11回IVO (Interventional Oncology)トレーニングプログラムが本日6/22（金）の14時からスタートしました。
国内版は2日間の日程です。前回の第10回まではRFA (Radiofrequency Ablation) のみのトレーニングプログラムでしたが、今回よりRFAだけでなくMWA (Microwave Ablation)もトレーニング内容に追加し、IVOトレーニングとしての開催となりました。
定員は18名程度ですが、今回は応募が多く21名の先生方を受け入れました。当院のスタッフの他に済生会前橋病院の畑中健先生、NTT東日本関東病院の寺谷卓馬先生に外部講師を依頼しました。
開会式 およびIVOトレーニングプログラムのオリエンテーションに引き続きpretestを行いました。
Lectures の内容は「RFA & MWA機器説明」「超音波検査機器説明」「RFA & MWAにおける看護師の役割」「RFA & MWAの適応・合併症」です。
その後、IVO室で明日治療予定の4例の症例検討、受講者も参加し超音波検査、プランニングエコーを実施しました。
明日は朝8時30分より4症例（RFA 1例、新世代MWA 3例）のライブデモンストレーションを行う予定です。

The 11th Domestic IVO Training Program started today (June 22nd ) at 2:00 PM. This time, we welcomed 21 participant doctors from all over Japan.
As usual, the participants were first given a very warm welcome by Prof. Shiina who opened the program with a course introduction. He explained the program’s objectives and gave an overview of the planned activities and cases of the entire 2-day program.
Then, a pre-test was done- in English- to measure each participant’s present knowledge on IVO and determine which topics should be focused on.
Next, everyone moved to the IVO room to do the planning for the IVO cases scheduled for the next day.
Four cases were presented to the participants, who were then given a chance to locate the target tumor through ultrasound and to contribute their suggestions for the final plan of each case. Many questions were already raised during the first day, showing the deep interest the participants have for the field. Extensive discussions like these would surely make the program a big learning experience for everyone.
A live demonstration of 4 cases (1 RFA, 3 new-generation microwave ablation) will be held tomorrow from 8:30 am .
