To whom it may concern:
It is our pleasure to inform you about the 2nd International Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA) Training Program in Juntendo University Hospital.
Currently, RFA treatment has become a standard treatment modality for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).
In Japan, since its early introduction in 1999, it has received reimbursement in the year 2004 and become popular as it is performed in about 1,400 facilities. However, its treatment outcome and skills among those facilities are known to vary significantly.
This program is organized to improve these circumstances and to disseminate skills and know-hows for RFA treatment. Until today, we have held six domestic training sessions for Japanese doctors, and the number of participants amounts to 99 doctors.
We also held the 1st International training program between November 15th and 21st, 2015, which was successfully completed. Please see related articles on this blog for details.

【 Recommended participants】
Doctor who has experience in RFA operations as a main operator (this training program is designed for intermediate to senior experienced doctors).
【Number of availability】
Maximum 18 doctors (Minimum number of participants: 5 people*)
*When the participants do not reach the number above, the session will be postponed. In this case, those of who have applied will be informed by January 20th, 2016.
【Date】
From February 25th (Thu) to 27th (Sat), 2016
3 days session with lectures, live demonstrations and case studies.

【Participation Fee】
40,000 JPY Participation fee includes: Training sessions + Lunch (from Feb. 25th to 27th) / Dinner (only Feb. 27th)
The costs for the items not listed above (accommodation, flight ticket, transportation expense and etc.) are not included.
