I would like to thank everyone in the Gastrointestinal Imaging and Interventional Oncology team for this elective experience. To Prof Shiina who accepted us into his department and taught us about the basics of RFA. To Dr Sato and Dr Endo, for explaining each cases and history to us. And everyone else who made us feel welcomed in our stay with the department. Before coming to Japan I have never seen an RFA and after witnessing the procedure, I have learnt so much on how it can be used to safely treat HCC. I am amazed how the technology is so advanced and it is looking very promising indeed. I also enjoyed the gathering organised by Prof Shiina. It was very nice to meet everyone and have a fantastic meal together. Thank you again for the chance to have such an invaluable experience!
